Phnom Penh police prepares nearly 3,000 troops for 12thASEAN Para Games

Brigadier General San Sok Seiha, spokesman for the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, confirmed on May 31, that the Phnom Penh Municipal Police has prepared more than 2,800 troops to provide security and order for the 12th ASEAN Para Games, which Cambodia is hosting.

According to Seiha, “Regarding the defence plan for the 12th ASEAN Para Games,  the Phnom Penh Municipal Police has set out a clear plan, using a total force of about 2,800 people, with the direct confirmation of Lt. Gen. Sor Thet, Deputy Commissioner.

The spokesman said that for this plan, the roles and responsibilities are divided according to the skills as well as the relevant forces to take responsibility according to their respective tasks.

In addition, Seiha continued that, the force is set up at the venue, hotel, along the route, as well as at the resorts and entertainment locations where the delegates are also athletes willing to go and take part in the entertainment locations.

In addition to the more than 2,800 professional forces, he claimed that there are also district intervention forces and special intervention forces that are ready to act if problems arise. The Phnom Penh Municipal Police also has a fire suppression and prevention unit. Fresh News
