Wat Phnom area to be closed for traffic

Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh has issued a notification on the temporary closure of all types of vehicles in the War Phnom area om May 2nd

The Phnom Penh Capital Administration would like to inform all the people in Phnom Penh that on May 2, 2023, there will be a ceremony to announce and confer the honorary title of “Buddha Governor” of the World Buddhist Organization and “Dr. of Humanities” by Negeri Padang National University to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Honorary Senior Adviser of the World Buddhist Organization to His Excellency General Dr. Hun Manet Royal Cambodian Armed Forces Commander and Chief of Samdech Techo (Thida) Youth Volunteer Doctors at Wat Phnom Cultural and Historical Site, around the statue of Yeay Penh, Sangkat Wat Phnom, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

The area will be closed to traffic traffic from 5 am until the end of the program.
